Belfair Sewer Project is Progressing
Here is an Update on the Belfair sewer Project provided Mason County Daily News.com.
“Work on the Belfair Wastewater and Water Reclamation Facilities Project continues this week. The project’s prime contractor has two crews on Highway 3 installing the mainline sewer. One crew started work near Clifton Lane and is progressing north while the other will keep working near Belfair Street. Hours of nighttime work are approximately 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. During this work, motorists can expect single-lane closures along Highway 3 with flaggers directing traffic. Locations of road closures will move as the contractor completes initial trenching and dewatering, installs pipes, and moves to the next segment of pipe. Also, survey work continues in preparation for construction at the wastewater reclamation facility site east of Belfair. And crews will continue working on the boring pit at the intersection of Highway 3 and Highway 300 in preparation for installing pipes northward from the boring pit. Pipes will be installed using trenchless methods, using a technique called jack and bore. The pit has been used for approximately two weeks, with a total duration of use of four to six weeks. More information on the project is available by calling the 24-hour hotline at 360-801-2482, or online at www.masoncountywastewater.com.”
